Default Do I need an Aftermarket Fuel rail to run RC injectors?

I have a set of RC 440 injectors waiting to be installed and I was wondering if I can use my stock fuel rail or should I get an aftermarket one (for better flow?). I plan on installing a B&M FPR w/ Gauge. What do you guys think?

you can use your stock fuel rail, but since you're doing the fuel system anyways, why not just do the fuel rail at the same time, that's just how i see things.

you should also grab a fuel regulator to match up with the fuel rail.

why? there is no need for a change in fuel pressure for his setup, thats just one more thing to waste money on

a fuel rail is completely unnecessary for you dude....why spend the money on it?

is it for the bling? if so go ahead, but know that its doing you no good other than getting mad chicks

A AFPR can be useful for a handful of reasons, but the fuel rail is just useless.

Unless, as stated, you like bling

I love mad chicks, but I shouldn't be spending money for them to come to me (it should be the other way around)

But ya, so stock fuel rail it is. And should I go ahead and install my B&M FPR?

If you already bought it why not, but be sure to have a guage and set it to oem settings

Hows the rest of the build coming?

lol, ya i already bought the gauge and fpr...not the fuel rail though. the build is almost complete...i'm pushing 214whp right now with stock injectors and bottleneck exhaust. lol
so once i fix my exhaust leak and install everything else i should pull at least 220whp if not 230whp hopefully considering these euro-r cams aren't that aggressive to begin with. do you happen to know the oem setting?

Stock 5g fuel pressure is mid 40s @ atmospheric pressure (vac line off).
(and edit: if you're going to be running 440's you could probably turn that down a little bit...with aftermarket injectors and aftermarket engine management keeping the stock pressure isn't that big a deal, and the 5g has always had slightly highish FP from the factory)

I'm still impressed with how far you got on stock injectors and stock pressure. With just my SMSP header (and a cat after it) on a stock H22A4 I was getting pretty close to 80% DC.

idc = (rpm * ipw) / 1200

there are alot of good fuel injector calculators at rceng.com

you need a datalogger to figure out what duty cycle your injectors are at

unless you know the pulse width at all rpms....lol the datalogger usually takes care of the calculations

datalogging is dependent on what system you have. i have a techedge wideband that i can datalog on any car

any aftermarket ems wether obd1 or 2 can data log.

use http://www.rceng.com they can calculate around what size injectors your going to need based on the specific inputs to their form
