Ok guys, i have searched for this and cannot find anything that deals with my problem. My Tranny was fine when i bought the car and never had any problems. Then it randomly started grinding 3rd gear. So i immeaditly changed to GM Syncromesh, and the grinding went away. But ever since it started grinding the first time, i have had a weird noise coming from my slave cylinder area, and now that the grind is gone, the noise is still there and i have a very hard time getting into 2nd and getting out of 2nd...all other gears are normal to get into, just kinda harder than usual.
When i am off the clutch, there are no noises at all. But when i am at a stop and push the clutch to the floor with it in 1st gear, it makes a whining noise coming from the slave cylinder area. If i come off the floor a little bit, the noise goes away. Now my first idea is bad slave cylinder, am i right? I know i need to replace the MC also if the slave needs to be replaces, but is this my only problem, or is it something else besides the hydraulics?
Thanks in advance guys,
Michael

I just figured it was the slave cylinder making the noises, so it was going bad. Its not grinding anymore, just hard to get in and out of 2nd, and sometimes harder to shift. I guess TO bearing and clutch are soon to be ordered..
did you grease the shift fork and TO bearing sufficiently? I used to have a whining, sticking, squeaking noise and it was because I forgot to l00b the shift fork where the slave cylinder hit it.
