I timed the engine perfectly there is spark and there is fuel. When i try to start it it almost starts or it starts and idles low cuts off and then a puff of smoke comes out of the throttle body. any ideas on what my problem could be please let me know. Thanks for the help

try to do a compression test first... then get back to us. If you can do a leak down test also.
