You shouldnt even post if you aint going to help at all. Search around for infomation you want. There is no Honda engine we cannot swap. GO read on the CRX/EF Civic FAQs to give you an idea. Learn how to search because of retards as Capt. Blonde not helping at all and because topics like these have been posted many times.

both the b16 and b18c are superior motors. The b16 is cheap, alot cheaper. double the price you get a b18c. Dont let anyone tell you "b16's are torqueless"... ALL HONDAS DONT HAVE TORQUE. Thats why ppl will tell you to do b20vtec. I think honda knows how to make a better motor than some ppl on this forum... do a b16 or a b18c

Boo hoo.
Had the op used one ounce of common sence, and looked that the stickies THAT NO WAY HE COULD HAVE MISSED. EVEN BEFORE POSTING THIS THEY ARE STUCK TO THE TOP OF THE PAGE.

The op is flat out not willing to play by the rules, if he can create a post hes good enough with a comp to see the stickies and read them.

No if ands or buts hes just too lazy to read them or doesn't care enough, so for both of those rearson what good will he ever be on this site? Heck I could give him a B18c5 and mount kit with pile of papers on how to, if hes too stubborn to look whats needed, what in gods name prey tell will make him pull a motor out of a car?

So take your 06 bed wetting tude and GTFO. Your bitching doesn't put anything of use yet you feel free to point others out who you don't aprove of? What holy power made you police for how things work? Last time I checked threads like these are locked for a reason.

This is a flat out horrid post.

Nothing but a copy act from SCC or some other ricer mag.

Do you know why people say the b16 is torqueless other then it ******* is? Look at a dnyo of a stock one all its BARELY 100 ft lbs to the wheel *if that* is well over 5K rpm.

Look at a stock GSR LS b20b/z. They not only make more but also lower then that, low end torque is good VERY GOOD.

Sure Honda's don't make a lot of toruqe stock they are tiny 4 cyls with no forced induction, my daily makes well over 200 ft lbs @ idle and keeps making more till redline.

b20 vtec requires even more work and research as slapping together any frankenstien motor will end up in **** breaking, notice I said slapping together, not building one right.

I run a frankenstien setup as I felt the B16 sucked at life and I got a killer offer on my old beloved GSR motor. My lsvtec is probbly the best out of all of them although stock I think the GSR was best. I spent days planning what setup I wanted to get and have a very nice motor great for road racing autoX and even still good to daily. For less then a GSR swap would run.

So jackinthe trunk who brings nothing to the table?

dumbest ******* thing ive ever read.

hey everybody!!!! forget about extra displacement!! run a smaller motor becuase this guy says so!

im about half way done already with a 240whp 84.5x89mm (get your calculator) build that will run MUCH better than some piece of **** b16 thats been sitting in a warehouse for 6 yrs and got ragged on in japan for 12 yr before that.

cleaner flatter burn, better bearing clearances, better bearings all together, which i dont care to share with you how/what i did to accomplish that.

youre out of your league at this point son. save yourelf some face and just leave. guys like you remind me why i dont bother even posting in here.

guys who drive EFs becuase they love old school boxy hondas =

guys who drive EFs becuase they are broke and cant afford a "teggie" = you =

buhbye
