hatch strut holder removal?

eylooo...would anyone happen to know how to remove these buggers from your hatch glass? both of my stripped recently and i want to replace them. is there a simple way to remove them?

try wth some vise grips ot pliers. mine are the same way, but i've been to lazy to figure it out.

when you get them removed, post up how you did it. stuff like this is always help, good luck !
