( yes i did a search only came up with RL /DRL thread. nothing for RSX, so here i go )

K, i bought a universal DRL module kit for my RSX, but the problem is that on the RSX the highbeams and lowbeams are grounded together from factory which means that the highbeams only turn on with the low beams ( im sure we all know that ) I connected the kit properly but the DRL kit also ignites the low beam headlights ( The DRL's work fine but I have HID's on my low beams so they flicker but dont turn on ) I only need the high beams to come on

is there a way to get around this to keep the low beams off ??

or even better yet is there a Honda made DRL kit specific for the RSX that will eliminate this problem ?

I'd suggest going on clubrsx.com and going to the canada section. Canadian vehicles require DRL's from the factory... some of them like to disable it, or you may be able to get a "kit" from someone's part-out.

 

Not familiar with the wiring diagram (I don't have the service manual) but if you say the low and high are "grounded" together, I don't see how the lows could possibly try to light when you only apply power to the highs.

 

yea i know this is the first car ive seen that high beams work in conjunction with low beams if high beam switch is pressed, is it like this with 02-04 rsx ?

 

i like that daytime running light...
i wish 04 came with it....
