Hello again. I have a 91 accord ex with manual trans and 220k on it. My problem may sound easy but ive done almost everything i can think of. The problem is that my alternator recently went and i had it replaced. I dont know if the old one was a high output alternator or if the new one is not, but the new one is not recharging the battery. I have a 2500 watt system with a capacitor but there was never a problem with the old alternator. Now im having to boost the battery every other day cause when i go to get in the car its dead. I had a guy over at advanced auto check my alternator and battery. He said i might need a high output alt. and he recharged my battery cause he said it was low but the alt was good. He also said purchasing a gel battery would maybe help. Three days later the battery was dead again. Any suggestions would be highly appreciated. Thanks in Advance.

 

complicated situation. You may want to try getting a gell battery to power that system.

 

you sure that your battery didnt get all bad with the alt so your mechanic checked out the battery and the alt
