Default Factory H23a vtec?

Customer brought me a H23 and a vtec head that he says out of a japanese prelude. Anyone heard of a H23 Vtec head? Can anyone steer me in the right direction for a head gasket (factory?). Cometic said no. Will H22 Head studs work?Goin to be boosted with nos.

thx
bob

H23 VTEC was not a JDM Prelude option, but it does exist. I'm 99% sure it's the same headgasket as the H22

A local owner of an H23 VTEC factory motor stated that it's from a specific Japanese Accord.

it is an OEM JDM engine...it comes from the Accord Wagon. Its bascially h23 bottom end with a Type-S. the pistons are also type-s 11:1

i have this motor in one of my cars. its a great motor!

as for getting a head gasket from cometic...you need to order an h22a1 head gasket not the a4. as for thickness and bore...thats whatever you decide for the engine.

as for head studs...you use any H series ones you choose.

so what's the difference in this motor and a h22??? i'm guessing just the crank? I would imagine the h22 head is nearly identical??
