Default How the heck do I change my headlight bulbs on my 95 lx?!

one of my headlights burnt out, so I went, got new bulbs (silverstars), popped my hood...

I see where the bulb goes in, but I cant for the life of me, figure out how to get that bulb out. I tried twisting the socket to the left, it says OPEN <--> LOCK on it, so I tried twisting it off, nothing...

How do I get it off? Do I even need to take that off? What do I do??

Thanks in advance..

Turn it counter clockwise... might be a bit stuck. Just keep at it.

They twisted a tiny tiny bit, and thats is, do they need to twist more, or should they be able to be pulled out?

Well according to the car's manual which says how to do it, it's about a 1/4 to a 1/3 of a turn counter clockwise then you just have to pull the bulb straight out

lol well you twist the gray outter piece that has the open close on it the 1/4 turn or what not, then wiggle just the bulb out, that's the only thing to pull out take a look at your manual for pics

Dude.... its not that hard... its a little hard. I used a srewdriver and elbow grease... that mother efffer took effort. But like pp were saying, turn the thing correspondingly [is that a word?]. THIS is basically what it does. U twist, and it lines up some wedges that lets the bulb slip out the bulb from there

it's like opening the tyenol bottle with child resistant cap. you have to turn it just right and enough to pull out the bulb.

Do you turn it counter clock wise if you are standing in front of the car or if you are behind the drivers seat?

Thanks in advance.http://images.honda-tech.com/new/1/post.gif
