Default Turning rotors w/o replacing pads?

Just wondering how "bad" it is. I have moderate vibration on braking, and the rotors could use a turning. However, there is still a lot of life left in the pads. However, I don't want to have unevenly worn pads on newly turned rotors if it prematruely wear the rotors or cause the car to pull one way or another when braking, etc.

Thoughts... ?

I've done this. But I laid down some sand paper to sand the brake pads a bit. I had no problems. You just want to make sure the pads are flush on the rotor surface.

Yeah. Just Take some 100 grit sand paper and flatten the pads and you'll be fine

As long as the pads are worth keeping on there while you are in there...

Yeah, I just peeked from the side and it looked like there was plenty of material left. I'll have to pull one side and check it out to make sure though.

Thanks for the replies guys! Did you do anything to make sure that what you had sanded was level? lol, I'll probably sand them and get something slanted/un-level

I might just do this to get rid of the shake, then pick up new rotors/pads next summer
