In between the oil filter and the block. 2 black coolant lines goes into and out of the "oil cooler"

People that have 92-96 GSRs can also help you out. Those also have an oil cooler.

I have about 3 or 4 of them, you also ned to change the following:
1) threaded adapter to hold the cooler and mount the filter
2) the black metal piping which runs coolant

Did you know those oil coolers are $600 big ones from the dealer ?

Also, 92-95 dohc vtec carries them, 96+ don;t.

FYI, If you want serious oil cooling you'll need more that the stock B series water jacket sandwich type cooler. I ran a track event last weekend with my new oil temp guage. Ran 285 degrees in the oil pan with the stock set up. Temp at the bearings must have been at least 300! Not enough cooling in my book, even w/ synthetic. Time for real cooler.

how was your water temp ? do you have one of the aftermarket radiators like FLuidyne or C&N ? that helps big time also.

The oil cooler is that shiny metal piece behind the blue filter. It has a coolant inlet and outlet hose.

Comes on a GSR also.

How does the stock oil cooler work?
Does it just transfer heat to the coolant or it is air cooled?
