Default will all 92-95 civic p28 ecu work with d16z6 so the vtec works?

i am about to buy a p28 ecu from a guy on ebay ( i need one asap ) and his description says all 92-95 civic with manual tranny. says it is p28, just wondering if all p28 were for vtec, cuz when i put the engine in my rex, i refuse to have to use a switch for the vtec. please respond soon. thank you

Yes, all P28's are VTEC ECU's. You need to make sure that the ECU number ends in A00, A01, or A02. The ones that end in A51 or A52 are automatic ECU's. Ie, you want something like: 37020-P28-A01
