I have my itr tranny like most itr owners here(yes i know some have jdm ). I spilled some oil on the tranny itself. When i went to wipe off the oil, i smeared the bottom half of where the lsd is stamped on the tranny. Is there anyway to save it, or just say bye bye to the stamp. If i ever sell it the vin will be the only way that they know it came off my itr? Or are ther other markings on it somewhere?

 

along with the "LSD" marking, there should be a "J4D" marking on top of it

did that also get wiped away?

 

no the j4d is still there, but its got lighter, not as bold and black anymore.

 

Just take a black sharpie and write it again!

 

if u sell it they can look at the tranny and see that it has a limited slip when its taken off the motor.
