Stupid bondo
When i bought my car, the previous owner bondo the rear bumper right onto the body, so now i wanna take it off because its cracking. What do i have to do to take it off. or how much what it cost to take it off and fix everything? i have a 92 civic si. thx
the best thing to do if you aren't able to do it yourself would be to take it to a bodyshop.(estimated cost$1500-2500)the reason being is because depending on where the bondo stops is where the body shop will have to start fixing from(more than likely both quarters back will have to be repaired & painted)it will roughly be about 150-350 to paint the bumper and like wise for the two quarter panels depending on the extent of the repair/if they have to repair old repairs.
Not that hard, if it's cracking just continue cracking the bondo. Pull gently, and once the bumper is off you will see the origional body lines. It's really not as hard as you make it out to be. Just make sure you have all of the bumper bolts out before trying to take the bumper off. The next thing to do is sand it yourself to expose the origional lines(if you have the right tools/experience), or take it to a friend or shop for paint.
