I have a 98 integra just try to do a couple launch since I just go the car, I did it at 35k and hesitated as if I drop the clutch which I didnt, I pause longer than a regular peel out when launching at 35k. So this leads to believeing the clutch is gone. Since the car is at high RPMs and when I let the clutch out it doesnt catch for crap meaning its just spinning instead of grabing.
So what brand type of clutch should I get. Some clutch kits dont come with flywheel should I buy it or reuse mine? Which is better.... money is not really a object, I want the best.
CAR MODE:
98 gsr 4 door
MSD
Managcore wire
aem intake
skunk2 intake manifold
skunk2 cam gears
as of right now.
I want something that well grab quick but not to quick becuase I use this as a daily driver. But I would like to run it some nights if its possible.
any info would be helpful, Thanks

what you think about act 6 puck clutch kit its like 3 hundred something... I know its not recommend for daily driving but I've seen people have this and do daily driving all the time. How much does the exedy stage two clutch go for?

mostly likely well get the Exedy Stage 2 clutch kit, would I need a upgrade flywheel also?
Also, how much does a shop usually charge labor to switch out your clutch? Thanks so much for the help!

I have a stage 4 sprung six puck and I daily drive it. Now that I am used to it I love it. But then again I am boosting in 6 months so I needed it to hold 450hp.
If I was not going for big power I would have gone with the sprung stage 3 carbon kevlar composite.
As Long as the clutch is sprung you can pretty much get away with anything...like I said though stage 4 is HARD to get used to daily driving.

Agreed I,m Using A Action 2MS 6 Puck Sprung Clutch, Action 12lb Flywheel, And Dual Diaphram P.P. It Is Fine For A Daily Driver Maybe A Little Overkill For 165WHP However I Will Be Boosting This DB In About 6 Months.
Here Is Their Link, And A Picture Of My Clutch Kit And Flywheel

exedy is ok...I run a ACT Street disk. Its like a 6 puck, but it is also made for a daily driver. It will hold up to 350hp. You will not be disapointed! You'll also need a new flywheel, or you can have yours resurfaced. I'd recomend a lightend one. I also have the ACT 12lb flywheel...http://www.advancedclutch.com/ check it out
You DON'T need an exedy stage 2 with those mods. A stage 1 holds up to 200 whp no problems. And take out your MSB box, it is hurting your bolt-on GSR's performance.

You'll be looking at around $400-500 without the cost of the clutch. You need a STAGE 1 clutch, a stage 2/3 is absolutely not necessary with those mods.

ACT= Market Crap
Action Clutch=Completely Seperate Company

You'll Pay About $250 At A Good Shop To Get A Clutch And Flywheel Installed.

Just get your stock flywheel resurfaced. I only looked at the stage 1 clutch since that's the one you should be getting. That's a bad deal anyway, you can get just the Exedy Stage One clutch kit for abobut $240 shipped on ebay.

you have no need for stage 2 with a basically stock engine. it is much harsher than the stage 1. the stage 2 is a 3 puck, and it skips pretty bad at light throttle. you have to mash the gas and drop the clutch pretty quick for a smooth start; driving in traffic sucks with it. it's also a lot stiffer than the stage 1. unless you're heavily modifying the engine sometime soon, i'd recommend a stage 1. it's cheaper and smoother. you'll get no benefits from a stage 2.

I've had two GS-Rs and have used the ACT street disk every time and loved it. You can't go wrong with ACT Here is the whole clutch kit with Xtreme duty presure plate. http://www.prostreetonline.com...-xtss/

You don't need a 100% torque holding increase over stock on a bolt-on GSR. An Exedy stage one for half the price is a much better choice for the OP.
