i have a 93 del sol and my targa top leaks real bad please n e one know how to fix this or what other del sol owners do to keep it from leakin

all i know is after it rains or n e thing like that my seats are soaked and the weather seals look fine i don't know if it is tight enough or what does n e one elses del sol's leak? just somone help please

welcome to one of the many joys of owning a del sol. It is a very common problem on them, to have the seals leak. You can get them replaced by honda (the seals are a dealer part only) and the seals are expensive, but the labor is straight up murder. My dealer quoted me around $1000 for the whole thing. Needless to say, I lived with the leak. There are a few things you can do. Silicone grease the seals, that will help them seal better, and then there is a site called teamdelsol.com I believe, that has a write up about how you can make the targa top seal tighter, which helps leaks sometimes. well you have to find out whree it is leaking first, then patch it. Probably not the answer you were looking for.

this is not something you can just patch. The seal doesnt work that way. The seal doesnt have to be torn, just worn out.

mine does the same thing i have found that when i dont open the door on a rainy day it doesnt leak and when i roll the window down and then back up it gets worse and as far as i know the only fix is replacing the seal
