i always thought that using the same thing that makes the hatch open, just unlatch it and it rises and then push it back down... probably not practical but if i were to ever make my hood do that, i'd use 4 of those haha.

haha yeah.. i didnt know if i made sense... maybe someone would have understood.

edit for others:

4 of those, at each corner of the hood to make it rise as soon as it is unlatched from inside. and then push it down to latch.

On my old EG you just lifted it further up and put the 'stick' into one of the other recesses.

Doesnt work on 4th Gens though, the bonnet just doesnt push back anymore.

there are a couple of stops at the back of the hood hinges. take off the hinges, remove the stops, and you can sling it all the way back. i don't have a picture, but they'll be very obvious when you're taking things apart.

if u push a crx hood up to far it hits the windshield and can crack the glass. Only the newer hondas can do the straigh up prop. IF you doing a swap and hte hood is a problem, take it off, only 4 bolts.

yup. raise it too high and the corners will also start digging in...just pull the thing off when needed.

When I did my swap, I just took it off. Like people already said, it's only 4 bolts, peice of cake.
