Default Need some good info on this..........ep3/dc5

I've searched but havn't found anything really good. I need facts.

Ok if you were to put a type-s head on an ep3 si motor, what are the gains, is it worth it, is there even any gians? I need all the info. Now as far as worth it assume the motor was dirt cheap Because its a close friend whose fortunate to swap out and put in a type s. In my opinion the stock motor is slow and wak becaus eof the head and how most the the time its 3 not 4 valves that are working. Not an expert here just what I been reading. So I assume that a type-s head would make a big difference. Also since the ep is vtec it can handle high rpm once its tuned etc. If i've said anything wrong or w/e correct me. Thanks for your time...

Can't do it ... it's not like the old B-Series! Just go out and buy a complete Type-S swap ...

I know for a fact you CAN do it, my friend put a type S head on his 02 Ep3, I'm not sure what was all needed to do it but I do know there was not too much to it.

yes, you can do it. but it's probably not really worth it unless you redo the whole bottom end. the a3 motor has a 9.8:1 cr. but if you're cracking it open you might as well rebuild the bottom end. good luck man.
