I'm not one to race any car that intimidates me, But this kid with his srt-4 kept insisting. There was some traffic anyway, so I just ignored him. Just curious would I have even had a chance? My specs EG-Dx, b16, BC3 cams, jdm b16b headers, type R pistons, custom 2.5 exhaust, gsr tranny and a pyr tuned ecu. I haven't taken it to get dynoed so I have no #'s.

I was just wondering, because there is a kid in town with an Integra stock with a drag 2 kit pushing 8lbs of boost so he says, And I raced him couple of times on the parkway doing 65-70 roll and I would always take him out. Maybe he didn't want to go any faster, considering we were almost going 115-120.

I HIGHLY doubt you're taking out an SRT4 unless he's in 5th the whole time

 

take it to the track. but to answer your question, no i dont think you'll stand a chance.

did you think srt4's are jets? if he run again a stock one from 0, it will be a good race, they spin a lot of tire

No but mild B16 hatchs are not that fast. Or at least not as fast as a SRT4. Obviously its all about driver though so its a moo point.

 

borrow a nice little wet kit from someone and find that srt then...u should be able to get him depending on what shot size u use!! remember its just a neon!!

ive raced a few but all the times i did i had 4 ppl in my car and they only had 1 but i stayed with in 2.5 car lengths...

i had a gsr swap with itr cams and still lost to a srt4 with just intake and catback

 

gsr tranny and ITR pistons? are you saying that you lenghtened your gears and lowered you compression on a b16? beating an SRT4 should be the last of your worries.

 

how about a b20vtec with a built head and i/e/h in a 92 hatch

Most B16's won't have enough to tangle with an SRT-4. But a honda/acura with a simple well tuned N/A 1.8 vtec should send him home with his head between his legs. SRT-4's are still neons and neon's suck.
