Default Found a DC2 body with LS engine

Test drove a 'LS' today that had a GSR body, but the engine was swapped with a regular LS one 60,000 miles ago. It ran really strong and was the best car I've tested yet, and the owner is some weird geeky guy not a ricer or anything.. The car's been maintained really well...

Would there be anything bad about getting this car? The title is clean, but the previous engine blew and he just got the LS one...

I know a guy who has a dc2 chassy with a b18b1 engine and a type r wing and emblems...lol. I really wanna know how this works. In CA, when u swap an engine u have to report it to the California Highway Patrol just in case u get pulled over and ur vins dont match.

You pay what the VIN number brings up. You will most likely pay a GSR premium.

i don't think all insurance companies differentiate between an ls and gsr. the insurance cards for both my ls and gsr just say acura integra, nothing about ls or gsr. i'm with allstate btw.

they still know what motor is in there by vin (or what motor should have been in there) & it is more expensive.

Yeah you will have to pay insurance for a GSR even though the motor was swapped.

Thats why the 5.0 guys buy a 4 cylinder mustang and swap in the V8. Fast car with cheap insurance.
