Official Headgasket-leak by the Block Stamping Rollcall!!!
Ok so this is here to figure out this problem that a few of us have, well so far only 1 more besides me which is Rick
It seems that a specific corner on our motors doesnt like to seal very well on the headgasket.
i went through 4 motors, and still the same problem. Right on the back left side where the piston size stampings are, where the head meets the block u can clearly see oil leak out.
For the longest time i blamed it on me not retorquing the ARP studs, but this time i did the motor over with new OEM headbolts. and still the same ****.
the only thing left it could be us a warped head. since it leakd on 3 previous blocks as well. But Rick has the same problem, and his head wasnt warped he was told.
So here we are trying to determine if there is anyone else out there that has the same issue and maybe we can solve it together.

but heres the thing, soem of you who also have it need to check if its your cam seal first.
Because a bad cam seal will leak right there, the reason i know its not my camseal is because i cleaned that area of the head, with brake cleaner, and then ran the motor and watched the oil magically appear out of nowhere on that lip. And what other explanation then out the headgasket. lol

well the block previous to this one leaked all the oil out within 30 miles.
So i just put some Hightemp silicone onthe corners where the head and block meets and called it a day.
This time its just minor. But nevertheless its there and its a mess.

hmm, I'm definatly going to check thsi on mine. I'm not seeming to lose any oil, but it's been a while since i looked back there and cleaned out that area. If I had a block in front of me I coudl try to see why there might not be enough pressure claping the head and block in that one spot, but i doubt honda engineers woudl miss something my eye woudl pick up, if that makes any sence.. anyoen got a pic of a block with head studs in it looking straight down at it?
