Yes, the sending unit is slighty above the oil filter. It will have 1 prong coming off of it, it will also probably be green on the edges, not sure about all of them. As for the rest of the install, I think that article will explain it.
i'm not sure if this is for your mechanical gauge or not, but this is how i did mine when i had it:
it's kinda hard to get to.
u have to remove the oil filter (oil will spill out, but just remember to top it off when ur done)
the sending unit is the thing to the left of the oil filter. It has a bunch of wires coming off of it.
remove it with a wrench and get yourself an extension and t-fitting.
remember to put some teflon tape on the ends to prevent leaking.
put the stock sender and aftermarket one on the t-fitting and connect everything.
run the wire through the firewall and connect.
any questions just post.
i'll check it later.

If you have a mechanical oil pressure gauge, that means you have to buy a sending unit MADE for that gauge. Please correct me if Im wrong but I dont think youll be able to use the OEM sensor for i.e. Autometer, HKS, Apexi gauges.
You PHYSICALLY have to run an OIL line inside your car. Yes, that means oil will be traveling inside your car in excess of 50PSI at times. Thats alot of oil to go inside your car IMO for a daily driver. Imagine if all that oil spurts in your face.

you dont need to take the filter off to mess with the oil pressure unit. Get a 15/16 deep socket to remove it. You have to take the black boot with the wire on it off first, then it will be a silver round looking thing the size of a quarter but thicker.

i thought of the oil running through my car before, and thats why i got the steel line instead of the scrawny nylon one they give ya, but where can i get the brass t splitter to do this, and does everyone recommend doing it the way that diagram shows in that article??? seems like it will work, but i just want it to work out good, and dont wanna mess up the stock sending unit, so, i just wanna know what all i need exactly to do this right, i have the mechanical oil pressure guage from autometer, and that steel oil line to go from the guage to the sending unit, so i just wanna know what all i need before i start tearing stuff apart
thanks everyone for helpin me out too!!! honda-tech
