Hey all! What kind of coilovers would you get for a 91 b16 crx? not the 1000$ ones, but not the 50$ ones. Around 200-300....you guys know....a nice drop, not slammed, but an increase in turning and handling? Help a brotha out

Do you really need /want coil overs?

For that price you can get the good sleave ones them being Skunk2 and GC.

GC is more widely accepted, I myself have skunk2 *right after they changed the name from skunkwerks thats how old I am *

Both are awesome and can be custom rated when i got mine my re rate was free

If you don't really need to toy with stuff a good set of springs will work great, myself I feel the damper is much more important, get good shocks no matter what spring/sleave setup you get.

For springs I really like Progress.

what class are you going to be in, stuffing adjustable coilovers on your car might wind you up in a class where you are out gunned?

you swapped you will be running with big dogs, if you are just out to have fun and don't care no worries though.

honestly what works best is upgrade your brakes EX fronts brembo blanks hawk pads.

Check your areas rules for what class etc if you really are serious about racing most places look at swaps as a MASSIVE upgrade you might be running tubbed vettes with 15" R comps all around.

I've had my skunk2's and tokico blues for about 4 years...still going strong.

The skunk2 springs/coilovers are exactly the same as the old Rs*r ones. Skunk2 actually bought their machining equipment from Rs*r.

For just springs, my Si I'm driving now had eibach sportline springs on it. They rode really nice, and had a great stance.

It's all about what spring rate you need. You could spend $500 on springs and good shocks, or spend $600 on sleeve overs and shocks, or $600-$1400 on full coilovers. Depends on your budget really. Luckily, there are some affordable quality setups out there.

Again it depends on what the primary function of the car is.

Cars areo is set for stock height and quite good for its age and intented use.

To back up your saying you'll need to bring a wind tunnel to prove this.
