a lot of us run the 1/8 mile for testing, if its closer than a 1/4. Around us, it is so we go a lot at the begining of the season.
Even if you race the 1/4 however, you still are racing the 1/8th. whats your question?

The man speaks the truth.
Most of the factors that determine the 1/4 mile time you run are determined in the 1/8th. For most of us, there is only 1 shift past the 1/8th. So as long as that isn't screwed up, the 660' to the 1320' mark isn't all that important. Just funner to run up to those speeds I suppose, since the first 660' FWDs (most of us here on this site) are losing traction.

usually?
Language itself is a very powerful tool. Like in drag racing, if you don't start out on track you end up sideways and hitting a wall!
