b18b1 aem short ram intake, gsr spark plug wires. auto.

when the car takes off it feels fine but at a cruise like if i was on the freeway and need to accelerate and i was at 60mph, stepping on the gas the motor gets deeper and louder but the car wont want to pull, steeping the pedal deeper cause it to downshift properly but car still gets loud deep and wont go as fast. i dont know is this normal on this car and its tranny. i check timing many times and it's correct. i change spark plugs to oem spec. any inputs would be great. thanks.

 

its an auto thats normal , it wont develop very fast.
try shifting into 3rd.

 

It's a stock LS, that's normal.

 

LOL... dont expect to get high hp on auto tranny.

 

I have a 96 LS auto too, unless you stomp on it to get it to drop to 2nd, it's going to be slow from 40 to 60. 3rd gear is good to atleast 90-100, so 60 to 80 feels alot quicker then 40 to 60 in 3rd on an auto ls.

 

oh yeah thats what i thought. cuz its my gf's car and i drive daily a turbo single cam. so going from that to an auto ls feels too different. i just wanted to make sure there's other people out there feeling this effect too.

btw the oem gsr spark wires i'm running will work fine with the ls motor right?
