Hello from the 92+ boards

I just picked up a pos 1990 civic hatch, ed6, and was wondering about the transmission.

How many gears am I supposed to have, if it "has the Si tranny"? 4 or 5?
I have 4...~4k at 70mph

yup, the 4speed trans came on std models and its 4 speed. The si and dx trans are 5 speed.

when i bought my ef from lied really bad so i know where your comin from, but yea si's have 5 speeds, don't sue him, beat the expletive outta him

 

you can convert your 4spd to a 5speed lol.

 

i know i CAN...but i paid for an si transmission

 

did you buy an si with 4 gears or did you buy a si tranny but he gave you a std

 

bought an std hatch, was told, in writing it had an si transmission

problem is being solved, its going to small claims.
