Alright, well since i got my JDM GSR tranny about a year ago it was awsome...never took it to the track, never raced it. It was only street drivin. Now everytime i go into 5th gear it grinds. Usually shifting at like 4k+, no matter how fast or smooth you try to put it in. I can "bang" any other gear and its fine. Im not really concerned because this summer i have to tear down the motor and trans for LSD and a rebuild anyway, but are there 5th gear synchros? I also think i read that if you just replace the synchro's alone the grinding will still be there, what other parts should I look into replacing as well?
