Decided it was about time I clean my yellow dirty looking headlights! Here are some before and after pictures... I'm so surprised it turned out so clear.

I just did the same thing to mine, but sadly, i dont have any before/after pictures. I use Eagle One NEVR DULL metal polish and it worked wonders! They almost look brand new aside from the rock chips and such. It worked so well, i started looking around for other things to polish. The only thing i could find was the windshield, it got out the water spots that have been there since i got the car. This stuff is great!

I used it to restore the headlights on my 98 civic. That stuff worked great!

Any rubbing polish works on the same basic principle. 3M swirl/scratch mark remover works on metal, paint, plastic, etc. You can even use toothpaste to clean up headlights as it has the consistency of 3000 grit.
OP: looks good. Now claybar and buff that paint job.

not to jack the thread but where can i get a claybar?
just a FYI for anyone interested....you can go to your local autozone and spend 12 bucks on a 6 pack of chemically treated buffer wheels that attach to your drill....they are meant specifically for the headlights and do a damn nice job

I run a little headlight polishing service myself, only had a couple of customers so far though. I wet sand with various increasing grades of sandpaper, usually ending with 2000, then polish with my Porter Cable random orbital buffer and various products like Meguiar's DACP, and P21S.

Has anybody ever clear coated there headlights after polishing them up. Is this a good idea or not. Not talking about rattle can clear coat. Was just wondering about this so you dont have to keep polishing them every other week or so.
