whenever I am low on gas, like 1/4 tank, my car will die and will not start. then i get a code 16 which is the fuel injector code. I don't think it is because i ran out of gas because i still have 1/4 tank, i think there is something wrong with the injectors. but why wouldnt this happen when i have a full tank? I am stumped

 

did you replace your fuel pump?

Also, it may be the gauge reading wrong. Maybe you are lower on fuel than what you think.
Next time you are getting close to the 1/4 tank where it start to die on you, fill up and compair how many gallons you are putting in to how large your tank is -if you put close to the gallons that your tank holds -your were empty and your gauge is just wrong.

Though I more agree (with above reply) it is more than likely a pump -this is simple test to try to find out if it coulde be just the gauge.

dunno about the injector code, but my guess whould be a bad fuel level gauge good luck
