as i'am writing you this, i just got my car towed, and trying to figure out what the **** is wrong!

i was in 5th gear going 60 on the high way, busted a neutral, as i finish taking the off ramp, i cant get into ANY gear !!!

i pull over, force first nuthing...turn the car off, clutch in and out to see, and i can get into all gears, so i leave it in 1st and start the car.......what happens? the car shakes and turns off ! leave it in neutral start the car, wont go into any gear agian!

what could be wrong? all fluids are properly met (trans,etc) could it be my clutch? tranny?

What does the clutch pedal feel like? I'm wondering if something happened to cause the hydraulics to loose pressure... a hole in the line, or a loose bleeder screw. I guess you'd see the fluid all over the place if this happened though.

 

Same sort of thing happened in my car. One on the torsion springs on the clutch fell out and jammed things up. You'd try to push in the clutch, and it wouldn't disengage because that spring was there. I could turn off the car, put it into gear, start it, and drive that way. I had to up and downshift without the clutch too and drove it home. Let us know what happens.

 

another thing is, when im in neutral with the car started, and try to force it in any gear the idle falls quite a bit

It's pretty obviously a clutch problem. I'm not sure that anyone can help you past that. I'd start with the stuff you can check out... like the hydraulics. If things look fine, then I think you're looking at a clutch replacement.

 

your master cylinder might have taken a dump on you

 

spit a clutch spring, seen it a 100 times.

Agreed. Drop the tranny, take of the pressure plate and you'll see your problem. Let us know how it goes.

 

well i took it to a local shop, and guess what? they said the car ran perfectly, and got into every gear with ease !

WTF ! since a friend ownz the place, i told him ill come over to help em drop the tranny and take a look

but damn, thats just weird
