Default Sqealing brakes only when not pressing pedal??

Hey guys...I have a 96 civic ex with a b18c1. I dont think i've had any brake work in a while and have yet pulled the wheels to look. Recently i hear a high pitch sound coming from the front end, im assuming the brakes, because when i press the brake pedal the sound is gone. The sound also appears to increase with speed. Hope i could provide you with enough info. I plan on upgrading to some powerslots and hawk brake pads. Thanks again guys

Sounds to be like the squeeler on your front brake pads. When you press your brakes you have just enough meat on the pads to stop the noise

Agreed.

BTW, don't bother with the powerslot rotors. Get some Autozone blanks and be done with it.

Blanks are cheaper, provide more surface area and can be resurfaced without issue.
