H22 crank main journal sizes
The main bearing-to-journal oil clearance is also different:
#1-#2 = .0008-.0018
#3 = .0010 - .0019
#4 = .0005 - .0015
#5 = .0004 - .0013
I'm open to speculation at this point.
Thanks,
Dave

It could be a balance and/or a resonance issue. If you look at the B series specs, they are different also, but only for the center (#3) journal.
The B18 journal specs are:
#1, 2, 4 5: 2.1644 - 2.1654
#3 (B18B): 2.1642 - 2.1651
#3 (B18C): 2.1643 - 2.1653
The oil clearances are the same for B18B and B18C:
#1, 2, 4 5: 0.0009 - 0.0017
#3: 0.0012 - 0.0019
