FS: 1990 Honda Civic Si Hatchback - ITA/H4 RACE CAR - located in Midwest
Finally....... SOLD!!
.........
------
1990 Civic Si hatchback (White, 133k miles on chassis)
Price reduced!! (AGAIN! reduced 1 grand!)
$5999 OBO
I've set 2 track records, 2 championships, and have won/podium'd a ton of races in this car. Finished 5th out of 17 in H4 at NASA National Championships 2006.
Here's the list but isn't every tiny detail. I've spent about $20,000, labor not included on everything. The base build, not including consumables, is about $15K (which I think most people fail to mention when they brag about build costs).
I have an Excel log of virtually every dollar spent on every part.
The car just recently has a new windshield, hood, body work / dent removal, some new paint and new graphics.
Located in Northwest Arkansas.

Yes, sorry, don't know why I didn't do that. I'll try and get some posted up after this weekend -- I'll have it at the track with a camera so I should get plenty of opportunities!
uhh durr, I just realized I still didn't get interior or engine bay shots... I will get that up in the next day or 2
It's called racing, get a frickin clue dude.
I have 16K into my eg cpe with a K20 and I will surpass 20G getting it ready for Honda Challenge H1. Still need cage, seats, minor suspension work. The national champ in H1 has over 30G into his car sitting at 210whp
Are you going to laugh at 20G @206whp???
Bump for a fast track car and good luck with your next whip!

Like I said, $20K includes everything I've spent, including all consumables, multiple hoods, windshields, bumpers, etc. $15K is what is in the "base" of the car.
And no, very little of that $15K went into horsepower, 120whp is about all you can legally make out of an H4/ITA motor.
The thing is, no one realizes how much money they spend modding/building anything unless they keep track of it all like I did. The reason I put the amount I have into the car is as a reference point to how much you can save by buying a race car versus building one.
And lastly, you're an asshat.

BUMP...I love this car. Unfortunately I can't afford it right now. Someone is going to get a very fast, very capable ITA car for a damn good price. I've seen similar IT cars go for a lot more that are not built nearly as well as this...nor are they competitive. This car was done right and is a proven winner.
Good luck on the sale uncleben.
Wish it were mine to race.
