B16 Vtec solenoid in B18C6?

B16 Vtec solenoid in B18C6?
Hello, my first post here 
My question is:
I have a 92 Civic EG6 currently with a B18C6 ITR engine on it. SInce i am using the OBD1 harness with it, the guys at the shop swapped the B18 Vtec solenoid with the B16 one because changes had to be made to the wiring.
I already have run with the car and it seems ok, but is there a difference between these 2? Am i advised to run the ITR one? THat only has one plug?
