Default CAI question during season

are there any water absorbant shields that can cover the filter so that ur engine doesnt get all messed up when hitting a puddle?

im asking this because my intake is 1 tube all the way down to my wheel well and i have to take off my bumper to replace filter or remove intake, and i dont wanna remove iintake everytime rainy season hits.

i live in socal and its starting to rain a little here, i havent installed it yet but probably will after winter.

depending on the year of your accord, (mine is a 94all i have to do is remove the splash guard) i'm assuiming yours is the same way, as for the water puddles avoid them if you can, you should be fine. You also have 2 other options get a short ram intake or get bypass valve but you'd have to cut your original cai pipe for it to fit.
good luck
