Car will need Maintence job. What should i do?
Hi everyone i'm new to honda-tech. I own a 1995 Acura integra Ls manual. I was wondering what should i change or do to make it back to maintence and everything, so the car will be up to date. I recently just got this car. All that is done on this car is a oil change thats it. Please help me what to change or to make it up to date. Thank you.
Do yourself a favor and go to your nearest autoparts store and buy a Haynes manual for your year integra. Best $15 you will spend for your teg. All the suggested maintenance is listed with mileage intervals and how-to instructions, so you can try doing the simple stuff yourself and saving a few bucks.
the main things to do when u first buy a car IMO is to 1- spark plugs 2- Spark plug wires 3- cap/rotor(dizzy) 4 - oil change ... all that should cost you about $100 and only requires very minimal knowledge of cars. anybody can do this stuff. if you need help just ask us.

Its gonna take time to restore the kar and make it "up to date". Just have patience, its all worth it in the end. I suggest upgrading where possible, lots of parts kost only slightly more then and sometimes cheaper then stock parts.
Im trying to do the same with my 97 LS. Good Luc !

its got 172xxx miles, i have all the maintence and repairs that was done to the car. The car was women owned in 1994 all the way to 2003 or 2004.
As you have all of that information look over i and put a little pictuer tougher, First Has the timing belt been changed? If so when? It might be due again. When was the plugs, fuel filter, wires, cap rotor changed. Has the tranny fluid been changed?
Once you determine the age of the parts it will give you a better idea of when you need to change what.

i work at an acura dealer. every 30,000 miles we do oil/filter, air filter, trans fluid, tire rotation, brake/clutch fluid flush, valve adjustment, parking brake adjustment, spark plugs (cap, rotor, and wires every 60,000). coolant flush every 45,000 miles. and at 105,000 (alot of people still do it at 90,000) is the timing belt and water pump. hope this helps.
The last maintence paper was at 15x,xxx miles. Its at 172xxx miles. Everything was checked ok if they were fine or if they needed changes they were changed.
Since you worked there and all the things you listed, how much would that cost me? I'm still trying to get more money from buying my Integra so i just need some basic tune up thats all.

I decided to take out and clean where the coolant go and when i was pouring into a cup, it was like all watery and really really dark green for the first cup. The second cup had some gooy stuff in it and it was darker then the first. Was it a good thing i cleaned that out? Would i have to clean the coolant that has gone into the block?
