not much of a response in wheel and tire so i guess ill try here...
while stripping the clearcoat off my si wheels (im polishing them) i got some aircraft stripper on the valve stem and the tires. do you think this caused any serious damage? one of the tires is now flat but im hoping that its just a coincidence

I say no...it's just methylene chloride and ish I think, (just) heh. I think those areas are prolly just really clean. If you got it off pretty soon I don't think it could attack the rubber.

it might leave discoloration, but unless you left it on overnight, i dont see much harm being done. i did the same thing back when i painted my wheels, and i just wiped if off with a damp towel
