sunroof/headliner question.. want to remove only the cover

sunroof/headliner question.. want to remove only the cover
so i pulled my headliner to have it recovered and i want to get the sunroof visor/cover part recovered as well.. do i have to drop my entire sunroof to remove the visor part? that'd be a pain in the ***. Is there an easier way?
