look under neith the hood, does it only have the master cylinder for the brakes,
or is there another setup for the braking system.
Look in a repair manual and see what a abs unit looks like, then pop the hood and
see if it has it or not.
Also you can look at the ends of the axles and see if it has an abs ring on there.

if his car is non-abs, it wont matter if he gets ABS rear brakes from 90-93 integra ?

No, it will not matter. The rear discs from an ABS car will bolt right up and work fine on a non-ABS car.

Yes, if he has ABS, he will need the parts from an ABS car because they include the wheel speed sensor. I doubt that he has ABS though, since the only ABS Civics that came without rear discs were '96+ models.

Go in some mud or a icy parking lot and slam on your brakes, if you hear this horrible rattling sound and your peadal pulses, you have ABS, if you hit the concrete wall, you dont lol.
