Is it the check engine light or the maintenance required light?

check engine light (CEL) = take it to the dealership
Maintainance light on = press and hold the reset button while its on the oil life indicator mode displayed on the lcd until it reaches 100%

Actually you hold the Reset button 10 secs until the oil life blinks let it go and then hold the button again until it resets.

Of course it will still be there.... It is either the CEL and something is wrong, or it is the maintenance light and it will stay on until it is reset.
