Has anyone thought of putting the highbeam where the low beam is and vice versa?
I notice on my car the low beam is on the outside lens and the high beam goes to the inside. Now we use the low beam more than the high beam, but I thought maybe switching them up would be something diff.
Anyone tried?

there was a guy who modded his housing to accept high beam bulbs in the other part.
ive never heard of a full reversal.
it would work.
also jdm ZC head lights are usdm size and have a single, dual fuilament bulb so you dont havt to mess with two bulbs at all....
and no ugly box when they are on, the whole thing lights up.

It's not feasibly possible to switch the low and high beam positions. Switching the bulbs wouldn't change what the beam looked like, it would just change the wattage.

yah I just want to run low beam in the high beam and high beam in the low.
If they screw in like they do normally then voltage and any other thing won't matter. It should just be a matter of swapping spots.

So you just want to drive around blinding everyone with 55w high beams all night? Then turn on 65w low beams to see better? I dont quite understand what you are trying to accomplish...

the crx headlight looks like it is split...one square housing near the center, and one square housing on the outside......the inner square being the high beam and the outer square being the low beam........he simply wants to put the lowbeam bulb and socket into the high beam location so when he cuts his low beams on the inner squares will light up and when he cuts the high beams on the outer squares will light up................simple enough?

Yep. It can work, but why not just try a better bulb first?

I'm amazed at how simple of a thing I'm asking, yet only a few handful of people understand.
On my ef headlights there is a bulb for high beams and a bulb for low beams.
Are you able to swap the bulbs so low = high and high = low? So when you are driving around when your lights are on low beam its on the inside near the hood not the ouside near the corner lights and when you are on high beams its on the outside closest to the corner.
I know SOMEONE understands me and I just want a yes or no if it can be done

you dont seem to get it... the headlights are not magic... the bulb has NOTHING to do with what the light output comes out looking like.
Drive your car up to a wall, turn on the low beams, you will see the lights will shine on the wall and there will be a "cutoff" where the light does not go above, this is so everyone on the road is not blinded by the scattered light from your headlights. now turn on your high beams, as you can see it is now a huge white circle with no cuttoff at all. If you want to "switch the positions" of the low and high all you need to do is find a company to produce for you a completely custom headlight for your car that has a high beam reflector and fluted glass on the low beam side and a low beam reflector and fluted glass on the high beam side, im sure you can see how simple that would be to make yourself.
How To: Switching your high and low beam positions.
Step 1 Take a sawzall and cut your headlight in half in the middle.
Step 2 Duct tape the inner edges closed so water wont get in.
Step 3 Sawzall the outside edges off straigt so you can duct tape them together.
Step 4 duct tape/jb weld lights back onto car.
thats it your done congratulations

You can swap the bulbs themselves, but the housing for the high beam is completely different from the housing for the low beam - the light is aimed and scattered differently. It will not have the effect that you're looking for.
I'm surprised that at a claimed 28 years old, you can't find something better to do with your time . . .

Thank you, at least you spent the time to EXPLAIN why it won't work instead of spewing some garbage.
And yes I am 28, and yes I do have better things to do, but do you not ever wonder about things and ask why it can or not can't be done?

For a good idea of what HIDs look like in the stock headlight housing, take the brightest flashlight you can find and aim it directly into your eyes until you feel pain. That's what they look like from the opposite direction . . .
