Default Honda Badge Question.

My friend just ordered 2 "Type R" badges for his prelude, you know the Red square black ones with the chrome H. Anyways he paid about 30shipped, i was looking on ebay and theres "authentic" type r badges for about 80. How can you tell the difference and does prelude even make a type r? I think he shoulda got regular H Emblems, or maybe the black ones.

btw i was trying to compare the authentic pics with the one he bought. The real ones look chromeish- as where the fakeones look dull or white-ish.

If's it's just a honda logo... and doesn't say type-r... then it's just a red honda badge. If it says type-r then it's lame and you should take it off his car. High end preludes are Type-S not R

It doesn't say type-r i just see a lot of cars with those red badges saying they are the "Type-R" logo..or badge...or whatnot

yah they are not, thats just ebay sellers trying to make money from stupid people. Its just a red honda badge, thats it. Btw you can just go to a crafts store buy some red plastic, pop up your emblem and cut the plastic to fit underneath the emblem and put it back on your car. All that your paying 30 dollars for is a red piece of plastic that is cut out. Im not joking, it makes me laugh that a lot of people are paying 30 dollars plus for a little piece of red plastic they could buy at a crafts store for a dollar.

The only red H emblem that fit on our preludes, at least 5gens, are the EP3s.

spec bb6, i thought all badges were the same so to speak. I have a 4th gen, 92, and im thinking about buying/makin those red ones. Or im just gonna buy some regular ones from the dealership since mine is "debagded" from the front.

just go on ebay and find the right ones for your car. try searching "oem honda badge" or "honda oem decal"
