1991 si swap: distributor question.. help?

Default 1991 si swap: distributor question.. help?

i'm not sure on this but my brother is swapping a 94 ls into his 91 si hb. he says he can use his stock 91 si distributor for the 94 ls swap.. can anyone confirm this? or does he need a 91 ls distributor? thanks

Well he CAN (with modification) use a D16A6 distributor, but would I advise it? No. Just do it right the first time and call it a week.

94 B18 is OBD1, 91 Si is OBD0. You will either have to change the motor to OBD0 or the car to OBD1. I don't know how you would get the Si dizzy to bolt up to the B18 motor.

1) It doesn't matter what "OBD level" the motor is as it only matter what distributor + ECU combination is used. If both are the same generation, it could be OBD-2021 for all it matters.

2) Start chopping off legs / making the bolt holes slotted, eventually it'll fit. This is why I said it was possible, but I still wouldn't recommend it.

He could hack it and halfass it onto there, but anyone with a brain would just source a used distributor from a '90-91 B18A1. There are plenty of '90-91 Integras sitting in junkyards, especially in California.
