Default Loud Knock?

Ok I have semi built gsr motor in my dc2 with a b16a tranny. I was driving down the road, then all of the sudden I hear a loud *** knocking sound coming from my motor. Sounds like I spun a bearing again, but I don't think thats it. Before I had troubles getting my tranny into gear, and I believe it is because I had a spring pop out of my clutch disc. Only knocks when I get up to around 3k rpm's. Motor idles fine. Someone please verify this problem being my clutch. Thanx

I couldn't get my prelude into first gear when I spun a bearing on it. I don't know if the two are related or not tho.

I doubt it's the clutch. Drain the oil and hope it doesn't have metal shavings/metallic crap in the oil. Also, drain the oil through a fine filter just to make sure.

I have a stage 2 xtd generic clutch. When I let off in 1st, it hesitates alittle and shakes. I'm really hoping its my clutch/tranny. I'll drain oil and see if my magnetic drain plug collects alot of metal.

a clutch issue would make it hard to get in gear. Transmission issue is possible however less likely.

Im just worried about the knock issue. Also when I was driving, felt like the motor was stalling alittle, or clutch slipping.

Well drained the oil and of course with my luck theres about half inch of metal stacked on my drain plug and I could see the copper shavings in my oil pan. Soo angry!! I was hoping it would be my clutch since, motor idled fine and everything, but had to have spun a bearing again.

So what the heck causes a spun bearing to happen anyway?

Since it was just rebuilt it sounds like the clearances were incorrect.

That sucks
