K & N reports a 4.8 whp gain with their CAI and filter, so you will see a minor power increase, but not much to really make THAT big of a difference.

But make sur you put a filter condom or bypass valve on that thing. You don't want to hydrolock that motor.

bypass valves dont work unless the filter is completely submerged in water.

That is really the only time you would need one anyways... Which is why I have always used a filter condom... works with all scenarios.

But either way, you are still wrong... Run through a small to medium sized puddle at a decent rpm with a CAI and see what happens.

I had to push my car when it flooded in anckle deep water cause if I ran it it would stall.

please explain to me how i am wrong. Even with a bypass valve, driving through a "small to medium sized puddle at a decent rpm with a CAI" doesnt prove a thing. Just do a quick search around HT, 7thgen, or ClubCivic and you'll see that a bypass valve just isnt a sure thing.

All I was saying, was without some sort of protection, it doesn't always matter how deep the puddle is, the motor can still ingest water.

And even WITH a bypass valve, you can hydrolock even if you do go through a lugnut deep puddle.

Maybe it was just a misunderstanding. My fault though.
