Default Recieved $1100 for my wreck. Repairing it myself, and buying some extras.

Minor damage, trashed the 98+ Bumper, driver door has a small dent, quarter panel needs repaint and some minor dents to be fixed, driver mirror needs replaced and a major front alignment and the hood is warped.

I start on this tomorrow.

I plan on

New OEM front, old on didn't have integra stamped on it and didn't fit correctly.
New OEM rear, fiberglass Kombat is broken all over
A Quiet exhaust, I'm waiting on KTelller to give me a quote on a magnaflow
Fixing the dings and dents in the doors and quarter panels and shaving the side moldings.
Possibly repainting the entire car, if I do should it stay night hawk black pearl?
I need a new set of tailights, 98+ if I do.
IF there is any money left over, maybe a OEM style CF SEIBON hood, or some stainless brake lines.

I like white, but I love dark colors. The lightest I would possibly go is Silver. I am thinking about Civic Si Electron Blue Pearl. I don't know though since paint will be the last thing.

Are you going to be painting the car yourself? I know I did a color change on my old car and it takes allot of detail and effort for it to look right. If I were you I'd rock the same color.

Only $1100? I honestly don't even think that's enough to buy a new OEM front end, not to mention half that other stuff. You can easily spend $1000 repainting your car, and that's doing it yourself. I'm not trying to hate, I'm just saying..

yeah, thats true, I forgot to mention that. Just paint and materials alone will be close to $500, not including paint gun and compressor.

OE Front bumper = $200
OEM Rear Bumper = $200
Paint, I use PPG, I already have a quart of NHBP siting around, PPG clear also. And many other things.
I work at O'Reilly so many of my supplies are real cheap.

I would stay NHBP also. There's nothing cleaner than a fresh black paint job. It's like looking into a mirror.

NHBP it is, I can't see myself driving any thing other than NHBP. KTeller is supposed to get me a real nice exhaust. I start sanding doors tomorrow and using body filler and welding the holes shut. Finally getting off my butt and doing some of the things I have been wanting to do.

Don't repaint your car white, it will look retarded w/ black engine bay, trunk, and door jambs. NHBP, and your other plans sound good.

$511.90 for both OEM bumpers.

Anyone wanna buy some authentic Buddy Club 2 Sides?

I guess having $600 left over I could

Get Paint Supplies ($75ish)
Exhaust ($300ish)
Possibly OEM replica Rear Valences ($???)
Still Shave Moldings

I painted the car myself the first time around, looks awesome. Let me show a pic of that.

Only thing I did not paint was the sideskirts which were already a non matching black when I recieved them.

Imagine this same paint job minus the moldings and dings.

I was thinking the same thing. They usually give you some insane amount as if you were taking it to get it professionally done at a shop at a ripoff price, and you end up saving a lot doing it yourself. But for you it's just about enough if you do it all yourself, and the paint alone would cost at least the amount you were given if you had it done professionally. Did you tell the insurance company you would be doing it yourself or something?

Assuming it's expertly wet-sanded and buffed. Otherwise the swirl marks and holograms left over look horrible.

for doing the work yourself.

all that'll cost you more than 1100.. especially if you want to paint the car.

New OEM front, old on didn't have integra stamped on it and didn't fit correctly. - 100-300 depends on if painted or not
New OEM rear, fiberglass Kombat is broken all over - Same as above
A Quiet exhaust, I'm waiting on KTelller to give me a quote on a magnaflow $600 or so?
Fixing the dings and dents in the doors and quarter panels and shaving the side moldings. Depends on dents.
Possibly repainting the entire car, if I do should it stay night hawk black pearl? Dont take it to maaco. Dont go cheap on your paint job. I dont know a good quote on this.. 1000 or so maybe?
I need a new set of tailights, 98+ if I do. 130+
IF there is any money left over, maybe a OEM style CF SEIBON hood, or some stainless brake lines. There wont be

A good quality paint job on the entire car, with removing all dents and everything will run about $3000 if you keep the same color. That's with wet sanding everything so that there is NO orange peel at all.

That's for good quality work from a reputable shop, with quality materials, and no "hook-ups" or anything like that. You get what you pay for.

I worked in a body shop for a little over a year. My buddy helping me has been there for over 5 years. I have a buffer, we know everything, and will be using the shop to paint in and bake it. All dings will be removed. Moldings are already gone and welded up. Yes I know taking it to a body shop is $3000, but when you can mix your own paint at the shop and use the shop for nearly free, it will turn out right.

BTW, am I being doubted?
