Short and sweet: motor swap, or turbo. Read this and you will find out anything you need to know.

The D17A2 that is in your car, does not respond very well to bolt on modifications at all. You may see all of 10 whp with a header, intake, exhuast, throttle body and throttle body spacer.

You have to realize why these cars were built. To be economical, fuel mileage, appearance, and to be a very good entry level car.

Want more performance from bolt ons? Buy an STi or something. You just won't get it out of the D17 motor.

There is a motor swap thread with spec numbers here. Anything you need to know... use it. As well as the Search feature. It is your best friend here.
