Default finally boosted again but i have big problems

the car at first idled like a cam'd v8 so i adjusted the fuel pressure and got it back to normal...but now the car won't rev past 4k rpms...and if i take it to 4k rpms it back fires real bad and won't go any higher. it's a b18b with a t3/t4 57trim, dsm blue top injectors and a base map off of xenocrons website. slos13 burned the chip for me and b16crxt chipped it for me. i tried adjusting the fuel pressure more and the idle control screw and nothing worked

could be a bad burn or bad soldering. Got any CELS?

everything for the injectors is good...my last motor ran perfect with the resistor box, injector clips and everything

this is the basemap from xenocron
B18b, P75, 450's, T3/T4 hybrid, Closed loop is enabled, 2.5" crappy exhaust, intercooled, dyno'd at 213 and 200ft.lbs. at 9-10 psi. This is slightly tuned with much room for improvement.

didnt you say you are running obd-1 injectors now? They dont use the resistor box. You need to do somethign like I did to get rid of it.

definatly sounds like an ECU problem, it sounds like she's running in limp mode dude.

I dont know anything about socketing ECU's but I believe theres more to socketing a p74 than just putting in a socket

my car wouldnt even idle with my base map. Same situation as you.. where I got a basemap that was exactly for my setup.

I'd throw in a friends ECU and try that same basemap.. Otherwise, it's pointless to scramble for answers when you turning consists of adjusting a fuel pressure regulator. *shrug*

I don't see why people with goals of only 250-350 whp use adjustabe fuel pressure regulators anyway. Hell the DSM injectors are pushing it at 300whp. I'd just leave the fuel pressure at the stk PSI dude. I think like 42psi but don't hold me to it. I've been painting all morning so I may be getting my air pressure psi on the spray gun mixed up with the fuel pressure psi.

does it only rev to 4k wiht your car at a stop, if so its launch control. IF it only revs to 4k all the time and runs like **** its either a bad burn or a shitty chip job on the ecu.

The problem is not the car.... Your trying to run a car off a BASE MAP... if it idles then your good... just check for leaks CEL's and the normal things. Don’t try to drive the car on it, you run the risk of screwing something up big time

Did you drive it though? Only way to find out is if you drive it and try to go past 4k.
