Default need help motor idles high

ok its a 96 integra gsr with 95 gsr motor, ok so the problem is when u start the car it idles lil over 2g, and it drops to around 1500 1800 when it gets warm, also it takes a while to for temp gauge to start raising. also when i got the car the ecu plugs where cut and i rewired it up all the colors matched but it had a couple of wires that were identical. any help is thanked

hey you said that the idle drops to 1500-1800 when it gets warm, yeah thats what it always does. i have a 2000 gsr and it always idles high like 2000 when i first start it, then it comes right back down.

Check 4 vacuum leaks, a vacuum leak will cause high idle. If you had the wires wired up wrong you should get a CEL(code).

yea it drops to around there but it dosent go lower to normal also it does have a cel but idot have a 02 sensor but that wouldn cause the idle to be high also u know that emission canister on the left near the axle in the engine bay i dont have that not really nesassary is it.
