Default Going to Strip, shock settings question...

Hey all, I have not been on here for a long time. To make a long story short, finished the car, got it tuned and I am going to the track friday after work. Anywho, basic susp. set-up...Eibach sportlines, tokico illuminas (5-way), track bar, and 8x22x14 slicks. I was wondering what to set the shocks at. I used to just leave the fronts at 3 and just crank up the rears to 5 but was wondering if there was a better combo. Car is a full interior CRX. Slick will be at 14 psi (I honestly dont remember what I used to run my old slicks at so let me know if this is way off). Thanks a bunch and thank you all for answering the hundred of questions over the years.

i have no knowledge about drag racing. ive been behind the lights once for 2 runs. that being said, i would set everything to 5. then lower the fronts until you get less traction. seems like the logical thing to do considering load transfer while accelerating.

yep, it would be better if you had really stiff springs in the rear to keep weight balance like 90:10 to keep all the weight on the front drive axles. trying to reach the same effect with AGX's by making the rear shocks stiff won't be as effective. i can't remember if agx's are rebound or damper adjustable though.

Well, the are Tokico's, but none the less, I set the rears at 5(max) and the fronts at 4(4 out of 5) and it felt pretty good. with the rears at 5, loaded up with my slicks, jack, tools, air tank, etc it sits at full height, no sags and barely moves when i drop all my weight on the rear bumper... so I think that will do. Thanks all, it has been awhile since I have been at the dragstrip....I bet my first reaction time will be like 1.2...haha

btw, when i ride around town, i never set the rears to 5. usually have the rears lower than the front.

Same here. I set them at 3 all the way around when I drive it on the street. However, this is pretty much a track car. I drive it about 500 miles a year anymore, thus why I asked about track settings. Thanks everyone.
